Up for auction is this very nice 4 door Buick Special; a very majestic looking sedan. The car has its original 248 CI straight 8 engine with a three on the tree manual tranny. The engine runs great! No smoking at any time & idles ever so smoothly. It is very snappy and keeps up well with traffic. The car goes straight down the road with no pull. The brakes are good & stop the car very good and has a working e-brake. The body and under carriage are in great shape with zero rust-though anywhere. The rockers, perches and trunk floor are solid with 'zero' rust through. The car has been painted in what appears to be the original color with no visible dents, not even small ones. Not a show quality paint job, but very, very nice. There is currently a scratch on the trunk that will be fixed by the end of the auction by a professional body shop. The interior is really nice and super clean. The seats have been reupholstered in period correct fabric along with a nice original headliner and door panels.(see pictures). The car has a cool fish-scale dash in nice shape. The gages are in great shape & all work with the exception of the speedo(needs new cable) & the clock. The clock lights up with other gauges, however, is not keeping time. The windows roll up & down nicely and aren't cracked anywhere. The doors, trunk, & hood all open and close perfect. Doors shut and engage with one finger. The doors on the car close like it was new. The tires are WW and are in excellent shape with very few miles on them. The car has all the original hub caps. The headlights work with high and low beam along with tail lights, brake lights, blinkers and parking lights. The car needs a dome light cover. All the chrome is in nice shape. The care needs a sending unit for the gas gauge to work accurately and the wipers could use a new vacuum hose. The car does have a brand new battery. So in review: This is a beautiful running car, sharp looking, great handling and braking majestic sedan that you could drive anywhere with confidence. The car is for sale locally, so the auction could end early. A non-refundable $500 down payment is due to PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due in full with 7 days of the end of the auction with as cash in person or wired to our bank account.(no exceptions). The balance WILL NOT be accepted into PayPal. Wiring the balance is the safest and smoothest way for both the buyer and the seller. The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for pick up or transportation of this car. The car can remain on the premises for up to 30 days to allow the buyer to pick up or have the car transported. This car is for sale locally, so auction could end early.
