1979 was the last year for the Pontiac 400 offered in Trans Am and only available with the 4 speed transmission. This is a numbers matching car, with the WS6 suspension, 400cid Pontiac engine, 4 speed, posi rear end, electric windows and door locks, 4 wheel disc brakes, and factory "snow flake" rims. Aftermarket pieces include American Thunder 40 series exhaust with Hooker Competition headers, Edelbrock Performer cam, lifters, timing chain, intake, and roller tipped rocker arms, Center Force clutch and flywheel. After buying the car app. 9 years ago it was completely gone through mechanically and repainted "Electric Lime Green". The red interior was redone with new black upholstery. After a couple years and about 20,000 miles the car developed a miss and was parked for 7 years. Upon a recent inspection I found the cam to have 2 flat lobes. I just completed installation of a new cam, lifters, timing chain, brake booster, master cylinder, right front caliper, both front tires, battery, spark plugs, Hurst Competition Plus shifter, and carb kit. Fuel tank was pulled, flushed, and all fuel lines replaced. Engine and radiator flushed and filled with new coolant. Transmission oil replaced. Proper oil and procedure used to break in cam/lifters (2500rpm for 35 minutes). Oil and filter were then replaced. A/C is all there but non-functioning. Headliner and windshield need replacement. Front door panels have holes for 6" speakers. Right front rim has curb rash and a crack. Body damage shown in pictures. All original spoilers are included along with a new set of fiberglass replacements. Car was originally red on red. Clear title in my name. Please do not bid if you haven't the funding.
