Vehicle Detail
1977 Pontiac LeMans A survivor of the GM golden years and the last production year of an elegant body. This classic is a native of California and spent its entire life in Palo Alto, California and is obviously an un-abused car in terms of driving and up keep. There is no rust in the undercarriage and the body is in excellent shape for the age. (please see pictures) The following repairs and maintenances were performed before listing: transmission was removed, serviced and resealed, hoses were checked as well. Valve cover gaskets on both sides of engine and the hood release cable were replaced too. Overall, car runs and drives very smooth, steering wheel unlike older cars is very sensitive and feels like a newer car. Electrical equipment is all functional and the last time I checked the A/C blew cold. Body is in very good condition except for few typical parking lot dings, and the paint is still shiny and looking nice. I don't see any overspray so I believe it's factory original. The only imperfections I see on the paint are two small areas on the left quarter panel right above the wheel and right behind the wheel on very bottom. (as seen in pictures) This was caused by loose snow cable damage, Original vinyl top is good with no rips. Interior headliner and door panels are original and good (see the pictures) only a part of bottom, driver sides is redone. Chrome bumpers are nice and shiny as well. I bought the car from a friend, the previous owners were an older couple who quit driving long ago, therefore considering the condition and originality of the vehicle, I believe the mileage is accurate. Please be informed that I tried to the best of my knowledge and ability to describe the car accurately however based on my classic sale policy this vehicle is offered for sale on as is basis. I am retired with poor health and am moving to a smaller residence with limited covered storage and am forced to reduce a good number of my hobbies. So, please see all the pictures and read the description I detail and ask any and all questions you may have before you engage in the bidding process. I would appreciate the potential buyer to be financially prepared to fulfill his/her commitment as I am not in a position to finance the car. Lenses and glass are good with the exception of two small unnoticeable chips on windshield which have already been professionally repaired. Everything on the car is original factory installed, but as my personal preference I upgraded the wheels to original Cragar rims for a better look and drive. I also upgrading the steering wheel to a favorable wood one, both factory original wheels and steering wheel will be included in sale the upon request. Thanks for your attention.
