I do not mean to cause any trouble, lord knows I have been having enough lately on here, but I never placed a bid for this automobile. I live in jasper Alabama and I would never buy a car that doesn't run all the way from New Jersey. I have a feeling my young son did this due to the fact that I am out of town for a few weeks and I am not there monitoring my account. Please, let me know what I can do to end this. And now, on to the description.... 1985 Mercedes 380 SL Convertible w/hard top Project or Parts car. We bought this car in 2008 as a project car. It was running at the time. We then parked it until last year. At that point we intended to get it out and get it going again. Car would not start, had a fuel delivery issue. Took it to a repair shop. They got it started. Then according to them, something went wrong. They theorize that excess fuel got dumped into a cylinder, cylinder hydro-locked, and bent the rod. All I know for certain is that engine won't turn.I have no time or inclination to mess with it. I am selling it as a parts car, or a project car. Please look carefully at the pictures. Body has rust, front seats are not in good condition, soft top has a rip and a torn window. Hard top, besides being dirty, has a cracked window. I am not interested in parting out the car. If you want parts, you must buy the whole car. A non-refundable PayPal deposit of $100 is due within 2 days of auction end. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction end. This may be via PayPal or cash at pick-up. The car must be picked up within 10 days of auction end. If you have less than 10 feedbacks, please contact us before bidding.
