Vehicle Detail
Here's a really sweet, great running diesel sedan that I bought many years ago from a "little ol' lady" No disrespect intended of course...that I was thrilled to get at 60 some thousand miles in great shape bought originally and always kept in the dry interior southwest USA. I have owned MANY Peugeots, and this just ran so great and handled beautifully and was destined to be our favorite and a "keeper". My wife's hospice nursing had her making a late night patient run, when a very large deer ran on out and into her laying back the front end some. We have since relocated and had set this aside for repair in the future, but plans have radically changed for us and will now be full-time RV'ing with our Honda CR-V in tow as our go to vehicle now. The wildlife collision happened when we lived in CA. I put a hood from one of the other 10 or so 505's I had and put a brand new OEM (Expensive!) radiator in it and wired the headlights up in place to drive her up here to Southwest Oregon where we live now. It has sat idle for years now. BUT, I did occasionally start up, warm up, and drive around our land's circular drive to keep it from going bad. That said, the brakes power assist is not working, the sunroof is not working and not really sure of other minor items that may need attention. The center console is broken as my quite substantial heavy wife pushed off on it to raise off the seat to climb in back for something... but the Engine/Transmission/Drive-train/ Suspension are all young, and eager for much more very comfortable, satisfying, VERY high mileage (38-42 mpg we were getting in the very short time my wife drove it) use. The tires look very good as well, though they are old now, they might be ok? The power windows work, the lights are all working wipers good, not sure of the A/C right now. I am far to busy to trouble shoot and look into very much with this...but will try to be helpful if it is easy enough to check something for you. It has normally always been stored indoors in my large shop building, and at some points in a car port, hence the light but very scattered surface rust. But it has been seen by a mechanic who says it's not a problem yet as far as appropriate prep for repainting. Not at all a rust bucket type vehicle as far as serious undercarriage/floor or structural rust. I didn't put efforts into cleaning the car more, and do excuse the passenger side carpet hanging down...I truly hate to let this go, but we are old and retiring and I just need to let go and pass this on. We always thought we'd get "Granma" (as my wife dubbed it) to a good body/paint man and enjoy it, but alas...it's going along with Many other possessions here. To be very clear this is being SOLD AS IS, with any and all faults not our responsibility whatsoever. This is a PROJECT Car that will need work to be ready for the road again, OR it would be a great PARTS car as well. This has. of course a clear title, and is California Non-Operated Vehicle status, so no problems at all with transferring ownership. Do you have a nice 505 TD that needs a new drive-train etc.etc.etc.? Seats look great except the front drivers especially could use some cleaning as not great care was taken with the reoccurring warm up drives. Please check out my perfect, well established feedback to see of my integrity. On Sep-14-15 at 09:12:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Forget to mention I do have a good replacement grill for the car. It is for sale locally as well, so this listing is subject to ending early, as well as reserving the right to cancel bids buy what I deem an undesirable buyer or non established member. Thank you. On Sep-18-15 at 11:00:48 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTN: ooops..turns out the first CA DMV form I ran across for this car in my very large DMV files (two states & many vehicles, trailers off-roads etc...I actually had 15 505's at one point!) was it's Non-Operational statement. Upon further research it turns out though I had Non-Op'ed it in CA after the accident awaiting future body work, I did indeed re-activate it to drive it up here to Oregon. It "fell through the cracks" with everything happening up here (building/new jobs/address etc. etc.) I neglected to non-op it again, much to my surprise, spotted by a potential buyer in CA. I just waited on hold for about 20 min. with CA DMV and yes indeed there is $575 due in fees to license in CALIFORNIA. My state would be more than happy to license it with proof of title, insurance and checking the VIN tag on the dashboard. They have no interest in former CA status. You can check with your state. Very sorry for the confusion! Since there are bids I can not delete the erroneous statement in the main description that it has non-operational status in California. On Sep-18-15 at 13:02:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been asked lots of questions about the car. I see the windshield does have a rather small, as far as windshield cracks go...about 1 1/2 X 5 inch crescent shaped crack that at the bottom of the glass, NOT seen at all in use.
