Vehicle Detail
This is a CAR SHOW READY and running vehicle. It IS an older restoration, not recently re-done, with a valid Florida, easily transferable, title. It is literally ready to drive to the car shows, re-enactments, Vet's gatherings etc. It has great rubber, doesn't leak any oil or fluids and is a joy to drive. The engine was rebuilt recently by the previous owner and the paint on the engine isn't even cooked off near the exhaust. The engine starts right up and purrs like a kitten. The exhaust is solid and has no rattles or leaks. The pictures don't do this justice and there are no surprises to disappoint you later. This is a re-done survivor and I would not hesitate to jump in it and head to the car shows.Look carefully at the inside of the rear door pictured open. Notice the vertical row of car show stickers she wears proudly. Ten years of car show trips and events. She's ready to have a few more added to them. Please contact us by phone at area code 813-924-8521 or at 813-503-7967. We may also be contacted through the ad here on E-Bay. We WELCOME your questions. Delivery within a reasonable distance can be easily arranged. EVERYTHING works. The pictures were taken in 2 different locations, driven on the highway between the 2 at 45 mph. It is 12v., the steering is fine, the siren sounds, as does the horn and the gauges work. Brakes, wipers, lights, all highway ready. It isn't perfect, but I was surprised by the over-all condition. I am a former GM trained dealership mechanic. I gave the truck a serious going over with a very critical eye. The floors look solid and not patched up. This is NOT full of bondo. I was amazed at the solid quality of the restoration work and its' attention to detail. I actually tried to get my best friend to buy it. How many vehicles would YOU recommend to "a best friend" of 50+ years? Please note the right half of the windshield as well as the drivers window are cracked, but still in place and holding out the elements. We had a question about the body work. This has numerous obvious welds, but that doesn't mean it is any less solid. The resto job was done by the previous owner, so it's SOLID and looks like an Army field repair. There are some small pinholes of rust in a few places, but it is not filled with Bondo. The repairs to the body were welds and brazing rod. If you expect this to have been a professional resto-job then this IS NOT the vehicle for you. [it was owner-done] If instead, you expect to smile like the cat that got the mouse as you drive it away [look at the lead photo !! ] this is right up your alley. This is FUN, FUN, FUN !!!!
