Vehicle Detail
I purchased this vehicle last December (12/2014). Originally, I was planning to move into a house with a garage. This car was going to be a hobby, not a daily driver. The plans fell through, and I've stayed in an apartment, with curb side parking only. I don't drive this car much and have decided that I need to sell it. I just really love this car and hate to part with it, but I'm just not in a position to work on it. I took this car to the shop on 12/16/2014 an wound up having a lot of work done to it (new starter; valve cover gasket; oil change; transmission filter replace; camshaft replaced; timing belt replaced; hoses replaced; alternator belt replaced; shift lever seal replaced; transmission pan filter replaced; coolant flush; transmission fluid change: ect.). I received to car back on 01/19/2015, at which point the shift into second was difficult (It took longer than normal to shift over into second, while driving). The last few times it was a lot better and I believe it might have had something to do with the fluid change (shifted great prior). My overall bill was $2045.90 and prior to my ownership the car had new brakes and tires placed on it (both in very good shape). Previous owner had the carb rebuilt, tire, and brakes. The mechanics of this car are very good based on its age. It does need some interior work(the dash cap, carpet, and head liner can be bought off of eBay), more than anything it needs time, and someone who enjoys this kind of thing. Hopefully there is someone out there, in a better position for this type of hobby. This is a perfect starter car for someone interested in auto restoration. I will include a manual, the auto shop invoices that run back to the original purchase (had 3 owners before me, with the original owner owning it up to 2008). I've been starting it once a week to keep it in running order. I just don't the the time or place to work on it. Pintos are getting hard to find and I feel this is a prime specimen. It could be used as a daily drive without any of the interior work done.
