1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC -Z This is 5.0L T.P.I., Iroc-Z with a 5 speed manual transmission, G92, J65 performance rear axle with disc brakes. It currently has 171,910 miles (which may go up a little, as I drive this car around town). The motor was rebuilt at 148,000 miles in the summer of 2012 at a cost of $2,500. It runs and drives more like a car with 40K. This is a very rare vehicle that was ordered as a race car. It has no A/C, no power options, as it was ordered with going fast in mind. If this vehicle was ordered 6 months later than it was, it would have been a 1LE factory race car. The car has had one repaint due to clear coat fading. The paint and decals are approximately 4 years old and it shows very nice. There is no rust, but it does have a few minor dings and scratches. P.S. – I couldn’t capture them in the pictures. No accidents and all original body panels that match the vin and match the rpo code sticker in the glove box. The undercarriage is very clean with factory markings. The original rear springs still wear the part # tags. The interior is in very good condition, with the exception of two minor dash cracks, minor driver’s seat bolster wear, and it needs a headliner. The car runs and drives excellent and is my daily driver. It has a new centerforce clutch, alternator, new battery, and new cd/mp3/bluetooth radio. The original radio is also available, if the buyer would like to have it. It has Flowmaster exhaust and all the fluids have been recently serviced. Also included in the sale is a brand new set of outer and inner upper door moldings, and a pre-fitted dash cover. This vehicle is a matching numbers gem. These cars are gaining value rapidly and clean ones like this are few and far between. The owner is a member of the East Coast Camaro Club and has owned over 20 Iroc-Z’s but has never owned a G92 5-speed and has only seen 2 or 3. This is definitely a rare find.
