Vehicle Detail

This is a 97 dodge diesel dually I bought in 99 as a wreck. It started out as a two wheel drive. The front right A frame was bent. I replaced it and drove the truck for four years. I then found a 98 four wheel drive chassis and converted it. I then found a clean 99 Quad cab which I installed. After having much trouble I changed the 5 speed to a 6 speed. I've removed the rear helpers and installed air bags. It has a pack brake (not working at the moment). The truck is painted white but doesn't have a good shine to it. It has 560,000 miles which is correct. At 300,000 miles I blew the head gasket. When I took the head off you could still see the hone marks on the cylinder. I've faithfully changed the oil (Rotella 15/40) right around every 5000 mile mark. It uses about a quart every 1500 miles. I've bumped the pump so it has some extra juice to it. Last time towing (6k truck on a 2k trailer) I got about 14 miles to the gallon. It has stainless simulators, black nerf bars, rear mud flaps. It has been drilled for a 5th wheel hitch (I took it off when I changed the bed last spring) There is also a frame under the floor for a drop down goose neck hitch. I do have both hitches, just not installed. presently it has push plates for a Fisher minute II plow. The push plates go with the truck. It does not have the harness. The truck does need tires. I run Michelin 235/80/16 LTXs. They last about 85-90,000 without rotating the tires. I'm selling the truck because I don't tow much (or drive as much) anymore and I've found an 05 Dodge 2500 with a short bed, automatic and Hemi (completely opposite) this truck. It's in need of minor body work. The bottoms of the doors are just starting to rust. A small crack in the right rear fender. It's been a great truck for me, very dependable. just before I laid it up I drove it to South Carolina with no problems. Feel free to email any questions. I plan on putting it on Craig's list so the auction might end early. Thanks for looking, Den
