Selling some of our Family collection ! Up for auction is this Rare and early vintage 1974 Ford Pathfinder Quadravan. If your into pathfinder vans you know what this is ! We originally purchased this Van with the intention of going camping and pulling a few motorcycles behind it but have not had the time and have decided to let her go to a new home. This Van is all original and is a Pathfinder 4x4 with an ambulance conversion. ( super rare ) It was originally a Montana Van and was stored inside its entire life and kept clean & maintained. Pathfinder data tag is still present on the LH door. The ambulance conversion was done by Astro Coach. Doors all open and close like new and latches are in great condition. Windows also work great. We tested the wipers and the windshield washer and they both work great. Radio works, lights work, brakes work, & dome light works. Removing the engine cover inside of the van is kind of a chore and we did not have time to remove it while we were taking photos but the engine looks just as great as the rest of this van and still has is nice blue color and is completely stock with low miles. Van has an accessory air conditioner under the bench in the rear of the van but has not been tested. There is a power inverter mounted to the floor behind the passenger side seat. Since we have owned this Van we have put around 100 miles on it. The timing has been set by an experienced ford mechanic and the carburetor was also cleaned. The van starts very well even when its cold and the engine is very quiet and smooth. The transmission works great and shifts through all of the gears nicely. The Van also has a really nice set of Toyo studded snow tires on it that are in great condition and barely used. The van does have a few cracks/splits in the windshield and a few tiny pings/dings on the small hood that opens up on the front of the van. There is some staining on the linoleum floor but it may be able to be cleaned to look better than it does now. While driving the van you can here a light clicking noise that is coming from the suspension. It tends to go away at about 40mph or more and only does it at low speed or on a bumpy road. we have not located it but it is very similar to what you would here coming from a CV shaft on a front wheel drive car. That kind of a light clicking noise but not as loud as something like a ujoint. We were not able to pinpoint it but it could be a shock or possibly a spring that needs attention or maybe even a bushing on one of the stabilizer bars. Definitely does not sound like anything major. Engine and tranny do not have any wierd noises or ticking/knocking sounds and engine runs very smooth and does not smoke. Considering that this was an ambulance this van was most likely kept in tip top shape its entire career and was maintained very well. The body is in outstanding condition as well with only a few minor flaws and tiny imperfections such as very tiny ping/ding marks in a few places. There are also some areas of rock chipping on the paint. Also... on the back of the van someone removed the rear stickers on the rear doors with a razor blade years ago and in the process they damaged a few of the orange stripes on the rear doors. This could be easily repaired by an experienced body man if you choose to do so. They also removed the ambulance sticker on the RH side of the van but the removal of that sticker did not hurt the paint as much as the rear door stripes. There is 1 spotlight that needs to be reattached on the RH side of the van and that spotlight is inside of the back of the van in the cabinet. The van also has its original owners manual and warranty tag in a pouch in the rear cabinet. What a great pathfinder van ! This is so much fun to drive and is a great coversation starter. She always turns heads ! So many possibilities with this van ! It could be converted into a surfer van, camper van, vendor van, rally or event van , concert van, or left alone and kept original. On Sep-02-15 at 16:48:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I just crawled under it and i do not see any signs of rust or rot anywhere under the van on the edges or underside of the edges or backside of edges. i could not find any signs of rust or rot anywhere on the body. the only thing it has is some mud build up in a few places that need to be washed and factory undercoating. floor panels also look great. This thing is super , super solid. also no signs of ever being in an accident or previous signs of rust repair. this thing is a gem.
