Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1975 Corvette T-Top Coupe, with the rare L82 engine option., which is a nice, complete, solid project. This year is the single rarest year for the L82 engine option, with only 2,372 L82's being produced this year! Compare that production number to the other years!!! Factory options include an automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, tilt/telescoping wheel. Unlike many color-change cars, this one is a trim-tag-correct White/Tan car! I took this car in on a multi-car transaction this week, and have not attempted to make any repairs to it. It has been in the same owner's hands since 1977, with paperwork to back this up, and only one prior owner who bought it new. I have ordered new front and rear bumpers, and they are included with the purchase. The car starts and runs without any issue, but it sounds like it needs a tune up. No smoke, or evidence of excessive blow-by etc. The engine compartment is untouched/unrestored. Even the smog pump and belt are still in place! The belt is off the A/C, so I am guessing some work is needed on it. The brakes, and other mechanical systems seem to be in order, however, this is a project car, so I do suggest checking everything out before driving it routinely. The tach, oil pressure and clock do not work. The power windows are not currently operating, but I am guessing this may be the relay/fuse since neither work. May need new motors, who knows as I have not had a chance to check out. The frame, and other the areas of rust/concern on most Corvettes of this era are of no concern on this vehicle. The end caps, frame, etc are all excellent/solid/etc. The body fitment, door, hood, and t-top fitment is excellent, with no evidence of accidents, repair work, etc. The bonding strips are inside all four corners of the cars quarter panels, indicating a no-hit body. The urethane bumper covers are literally falling apart, which is very normal for Corvettes of this era. The urethane bumper covers have not been damaged by accidents! They just dry out and begin to disentigrate, as is happening on this car. The paint is in clearly older and would clearly be refinished when installing the new bumpers, which again, are included with the purchase. It appears that the car may have had some touch up work over the years, but a good bit of the exterior may actually retain the original paint. The door jams are definitely still in their original paint. The interior appears to be mostly original other than the seat covers, which appear to be newer replacements. The seat covers are in great shape, as is the dash and console. I would replace the door panels, and the carpet, and the interior would most certainly be very presentable with these additions. The mileage shows 90K, and based off overall appearance, I am guessing this is accurate. If you are looking for a project Corvette, (L82 or otherwise), with the lowest and rarest production engine option, here's an excellent opportunity to purchase a car that you can drive and enjoy after the bumper covers are installed and do a complete repaint as desired down the road. I would suggest shipping this car, but you may choose to drive it home, as it seems mechanically sound enough to be able to do so. I have been a licensed collector car dealer in Ohio for over 20 years, and I describe my cars fairly and accurately. You are welcome to send me a message through eBay and I will be happy to call you. Sold as is, where is. $500 deposit due by Paypal, or cashier check within 48 hours of the close of the auction. Balance is due via wire transfer or cash only at pick up. Car will not be released until wire is confirmed or payment is received. You are welcome to have the car inspected during the course of the auction, or you may come see it yourself. The car is located in Galena, Ohio, approximately 20 mins northeast of Columbus Ohio. Thanks for looking and email with any questions.
