Up for sale is a 1964 Volkswagen Herbie 53. Car has been in North Texas its entire life, 1 owner since 1974. All body panels are original to the car, panel fit and gaps are excellent, car is bone dry, never been repaired. The doors, hood and trunk shut like a vault. It retains its original engine, car runs, brakes, shifts and drives good. Paint is old but in good condition, it has 1 minor scrape on the right front fender. It has benefitted from recent new tires, shocks, brakes, fuel system clean/overhaul and a new original 6 Volt battery. Odometer shows app. 32,000 miles, we believe this could well be correct. Car was parked under a cover inside a garage for at least 3 decades until last year when Herbie was uncovered and brought back to life.
