1964 Toyota FJ40. The FJ was restored about 10 years ago. The restoration included under carriage rust proofing, the body being stripped down to the metal for painting, complete restoration of the clutch, transmission, exhaust and many other items which are listed in a very well documented notebook containing receipts of over $10,000 of upgrades. It is not a frame off restoration but it is a very clean & dry Southwest California FJ. The body seams have very clean edges with no flakes. The frame is the same, very clean with no flakes at all. It is amazing a vehicle of this age has no body or frame rust. The interior has been restored and it is in good condition including a headliner. There is a one inch tear in the lower drivers side seat. The heater is aftermarket but works terrific. The FJ has new weather stripping all around. I have new bumperetts on the rear bumper. The engine has been up graded to the F20 4.2 liter Inline V6. I just replaced the rear main seal and oil pan gasket due to a small leak. I just replaced the alternator. All of the lights work. However, the horn and three of the gauges needs to be engaged but I think the gauges work. I just ordered a new fuel tank sending unit because the gas gauge was not always correct. This FJ drives straight with no slop in the steering. The brakes stops straight and does not pull to one side or the other. The three speed transmission is very smooth, shifting as it should. The wheels have just been recently painted and it has new BFG 31 10.50 all terrain tires with a matching spare. The FJ comes with a set of half doors so if you want to run with the top off ( the half doors will need handles ). The FJ comes with an extra steel tubular bumper with a hitch receiver. The FJ has a factory PTL winch with a new cable which works perfectly. The 4x4 works terrific in all settings. This FJ is one nice vehicle, a real head turner. This FJ can be inspected at the buyer's expense. This FJ is being sold as is with no warranty. This FJ is also being advertised locally and I reserve the right to end the auction.
