Vehicle Detail
Hi Folks, I am selling my 1976 Honda CB750. This motorcycle only has 12,318 miles on it, though it may increase a little. This motorcycle is in very, very good condition. I believe you would be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. I have owned it approximately 2 years, and have put about 1,200 miles on total. As stated before, this is a one owner, superb condition, original motorcycle with very low miles. I have the one, and only, title this bike has ever had - the first one... California bike, never ridden in the rain. When stored for any extended length, the gas tank and carburetors were emptied. The original exhaust is in excellent condition! No damage, rust, repairs, holes, etc. All original as it came from the factory. Beautiful, original paintwork. Chrome is in excellent condition. Beautiful, original seat. The chrome strip along the bottom, lower, edge is in perfect shape. This is a wonderful riding bike, shifts very well, starts easily, idles perfectly. This is a matching numbers bike. Just last fall, I had Phil's Cycle in Waterford, Michigan go through the bike to make sure everything was in great working order. He confirmed that he believed everything was original, including the paint. Phil did the following: *Cleaned and synched all of the carbs *Installed new points *Installed new spark plugs *Rebuilt the master cylinder *Cleaned and rebuilt front brake caliper *New starter solenoid *Engine oil and filter change *Valve check *Adjust cam chainPhil's Cycle is one of the country's premier experts in these Vintage Honda CB's. Though I live in central Ohio, I took my bike several hundred miles to be sure it was serviced by someone who is intimately familiar with these bikes. I am a fanatic about maintenance. All of my motorcycles get at least one oil change a year, whether the mileage indicates it is due or not. Generally speaking, I change oil approximately every 1,500 - 2,000 miles on all my vintage motorcycles. This motorcycle has had an oil change every fall before she get's put up for the winter. All of my motorcycles are stored in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The temperature never gets below 64 degrees, nor above 76 degrees. All of my vintage motorcycles, and cars, get ethanol-free gasoline and SeaFoam, always. No rust in the gas tank. Also, all of my vintage motorcycles, and cars, are kept on Battery Tender's year round. Mileage may increase a little, as I will probably ride it occasionally. Feel free to contact me about seeing the bike in person. I welcome visitors! Test rides may be available, but please have cash in hand. Thanks for your time, Chris McCarthy, 419-656-7127
