Vehicle Detail
1964 Ford Falcon Wagon- Original-Drive as is or Restore Base 2.8L- No Reserve The ultimate beach, desert or mountain wagon. Starts, runs, drives and stops. 6 cylinder that runs and drives fine. Gurdy is actually pretty quick The body is very straight. She has been sitting at the Beach House for over 6 years in Grayland Washington. Gurdie Birdie needs to be driven and cared for. She loves to run. 3 on the Tree. Clutch pedal sticks a little. Lack of use is the problem. The more I drive her, the better she gets. I just drove her from Grayland to Seattle, about a 120 mile jaunt. No problems. Her upholstery had been covered (Original with Badges) with plastic for 40 years. It held up well. Remember grandma's sofa with plastic? same thing. The body is solid with some minor pin holes from rust. See pictures. The interior- door panels are warped. The vinyl is good, however the fiber board underneath has warped and bowed. We sanded her down and rolled on clear coat to preserve her and get out the rust. The good thing is that you can see her raw and in her pure form. We actually thought she looked very cool this way. No Botox injections, just 50 years of pure beauty. Padded dash has a hole the size of a quarter on the drivers side. Glass is good all around Chrome and stainless are very good. Grill has 1 dent in center, size of a silver dollar Passenger side floor will need attention. Moisture seeped in and rusted the area- 12"x 15". Just haven't got around to replacing metal. Pretty easy fix.The carpet held up well, so we didn't even notice it. Headliner is very good and original Light surface rust on dash and doors. The back area (cargo space) has a couple small rust holes. Agian, we didn't notice it due to the rubber mat/liner. Power Steering works very good. All lights and signals are in working order. Windows are working fine, except passenger rear window. Seams to be stuck. We didn't try to force/fix. She drives down the freeway at 65 mph with no problems.
