SOLID SOUTHERN V-8 SHORT BED TRUCK….PERFECT TO MAKE A STREET ROD/CRUISER!!!! 1978 FORD F-100 TRUCK RANGER / EXPLORER PACKAGESHORT BED (gold edition) Original unrestored 1978 Ford F100 Ranger / Explorer in good condition. Truck shows 82,904 miles on odometer. Truck has the original 302 2bbl v-8 and automatic transmission. Engine runs good, and transmission shifts well. Truck came with power steering and air conditioning (Air has been converted to R134A, but will need a fan switch because it acts up but does blow cold air when it works right). Body is in great shape - body panels are straight and fit well. Body mounts and Cab Corners are in good shape. Bed is solid with minor surface rust (see photos). Paint has a good shine, it has vaious chips and scratches. Paint on the hood is faded. Interior is complete, dash pad has a crack on bottom edge. Seat has minor tears on drivers side. The carpet is faded some. All glass is in good condition. It has a rear sliding back glass. Truck was built at Norfolk, Virginia and factory color is Maroon. This 1978 Ford Truck has numbers matching motor (302 V-8) and 3 speed automatic transmission. The undercarriage is in good, clean shape. This truck is an excellent candidate for a customized truck that needs little body work and little mechanical work. Please ask any questions for more information and if needed, more pictures.
