1957 OVAL WINDOW RAGTOP!! This bug is beautiful and laser straight!! It just won First Place of the Import Division at the Cops N Rodders car show last week!! It had Porsche 356s, 912s, Triumphs, and other VW's in the division and this bug beat them all. It was parked between two 1955 Chevys and a 1930's hotrod. Everyone keep taking photos of the bug and talking to me about it, than the Chevys and hotrod. It looks fantastic as it is, but it can easily be returned to stock in less than an hour. The adjustable beam raises back to stock and the rear splines easily return back to stock height. The stock rims are included (painted to match). Keep it a modified street cruiser or make it a stock sleeper with a beast of a motor. Here is a detailed description: - Porsche Jupiter Gray paint looks excellent accented with deep burgundy red interior. - Three fold factory ragtop with brand new blood burgundy canvas and mohair head liner, which matches the upholstery. - Matching VIN numbers body and pan, clear California title in my name. No rust!! - New tires. New triple show chrome Empi five spoke rims. These are the new generation rims, with excellent proof marks and bolt on center caps, (Not the garbage old style plastic push on centers). These are NOT polished. These are perfect chrome rims with absolutely no flaws or curb rash! - I also have a set of original bug smoothie rims which are painted to match the bug that are included in the sale, (if you prefer the stock look). - Adjustable front beam narrowed 2 inches from Cip1. Rearend has been lowered one outer spline, with stock spring plates and shocks. - Absolutely flawless and gorgeous Rometsch steeling wheel (reproduction) from Cip1. Everyone comments on how beautiful the steering wheel looks and how it completes the car. - I also have the original steering wheel which is included in the sale. - New polished exterior trim moldings. - New interior, front and rear seat blood burgundy upholstery, door panels, gray carpet, off white mohair headliner, and ragtop canvas. All the lights and blinkers work. Have windshield wipers, but they are not installed, because the bug is never driven in rain. Also, I think it looks cleaner without them and I live in California, which is in a severe drought right now! - The entire interior has been covered in Dynamat sound deadner, including the floors and doors. - 1835cc dual port motor, with dual Weber 40 IDA carburators, 110 cam, .034 distributor, electronic ignition, new NGK-R plugs, remote oil filter, deep sump oil pan. I just adjusted the valves, changed the plugs, and changed the oil, screen, and remote filter, less than 20 miles ago. - New chrome Euro spec bumpers with small guards. I also have U.S. spec bumpers with guards and over riders included in the sale. - Original Hella glass tail lenses and headlights. - New wiring harness. - California Year Of Make (YOM) yellow and black plate. - Box of miscellaneous extra parts. $1000 deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the auction.
