Up for auction is this nice '49 Chevy Coupe. It has the original 216 C.I. 6 cylinder engine with a manual '3 on the tree' transmission. It starts easily, idles & runs great, smooth and cool. It shifts smoothly and no clutch chatter. It handles good on the highway & does not wander or pull. The brakes are good & stop the car nice and safe. Again, no pulling one way or the other. It has an older paint job(10 -12 yrs ago) that shines, but not perfect with a few imperfections from normal every day use. The colors are very eye catching as the colors match the body style of the car well. The tires are in good shape with good tread. All the glass in in good condition and the windows roll up & down nicely. The dash and gauge faces all look nice. The headlights(High & low beam), horn, gas gauge, blinkers, parking lights, wipers, speedo, temp, AMP, and dome light all work. The bumpers and grill are in real nice shape. The bumpers look to be new. The car appears to have the original door panels, headliner and original material on seats, all in decent but not perfect shape. (see pics) The trunk area is very nice; neat and tidy with original rubber mat, not rusted out under the mat either. The car also has original working spotlight. Overall this is a nice looking, nice running and handling, very desirable '49 Chevy Coupe. This is not a show car, but a nice looking and very dependable. To my knowledge no known issues.
