Great vehicle, NO RUST with many extras, but oil separator failed. Turned off immediately and parked. No indication of low oil pressure. still runs, but the oil separator and hose has to be replaced before running. Only has 125,000 miles.THIS IS MY 3rd X5 and my last one had over 280,000 on it and still ran great!! I just put many new parts on our family X5. The entire front suspension was just replaced less that 8 months ago. Including driver and passenger front upper and lower control arms and bushings, rotors, struts with coils, inner and outer tie rods ends complete with tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, all linking rods upper and Lower. Also have brand new ball joints still in the box, all new plugs, several new Coil packs just replaced, new shocks on the back, new Chase bushings still in the box. All 4 brand new tires just installed from Sears (over $1000) interior in great condition! No rips or tears! Has new rear differential! New front left CV joint complete with whole axle assembly, transmission runs and shifts smooth, AC is ice cold, I would keep the car but don't have any more money to put into it with kids in college! if you know how to work on these then you're ahead of the game.
