1970 Mercedes Benz 300sel 6.3 With a little effort, this 6.3 will make an amazing driver and touring car! We purchased this 6.3 from a gentlemen that won a storage auction sale. We have owned the 6.3 for several years, intending on preparing the car as our shop car. Plans have changed and now this wonderful 6.3 is available as a light project! Over the last years, noted Mercedes specialist Pierre Hedary replaced the steering coupling, flushed the cooling system, adjusted the valves and linkages. In addition, the ignition system was converted to Pertronix electronic. At this point, there are no known mechanical needs although I would recommend a fluid/filter service. In addition, the air suspension leaks down after 2 or so days, the A/C will require servicing and, finally, the Becker radio requires installation (we installed a Becker refurbished electric antennae). Of course, if you prefer the 14", we can swap out the rims/hubcaps for 14". The Engine Starts Immediately and Sounds Excellent! As you can see in the video, I drove the car to ~80mph and braked hard without hesitation.
