This Chevy Milk Truck is in exceptional condition for being 49 years old. I bought it from the original owner just about a month ago. It was in the garage since 1986 (see inspection sticker) The truck was a milk delivery truck since new, in 1985 he became sick and parked the truck in the garage. It sat there til I found it. The truck has a 250 cid 6 cylinder motor and a 4 speed manual trans, has like new tires but have been setting a long time should be replaced. The cab, body , chassis, interior are like new with the exception of the lower front fenders they have some bubbling . It still has a small cooling box where I believe the would carry the eggs for delivery. The truck I believe has 63590 miles on it, that is what is on the odometer and I believe that it is original. The guy who owned it had a repaint done to it about 1983, original color. The body is a Boyertown they built many different bodies from I believe 1930's til they closed in the early 90's. They were one of the premiere builders of these and other bodies, they built a lot for the 2nd world war, ambulances,etc. This truck is very rare!!!! I searched the internet and found only one other, it had been turned into a street rod.. I would rate this a 7-7.5 out of 10.The gas is stale and I got it running on a can of gas, the engines runs ok, but it needs the carb rebuilt, the gas tank needs to be cleaned or replaced and the brakes aren't working I have not had a chance to see what is wrong with them it has power brakes no power steering. I will continue to trouble shoot these things while the auction is on going. I will try to fix them but no guarantees it will be done by the end of the auction.We do have a Classic car shop and build a lot of award winning vehicles and can help you with anything you may want done to the truck after the auction. We can street rod it customize it or just leave it the way it is.This truck would make a great Harley hauler, a dirt bike hauler, a camper, the options are many..
