1986 Ford F-150: The Mean Green Machine Here we have a 1986 Ford F150 short bed. This Resto-Mod is a 4x4 show truck from the south, so you don't have to worry about a rusty frame or body. It has been a slow build over the past few years here at our shop with tons of upgrades, and many many man-hours. It originally was a 4.9 six cylinder inline engine. We swapped out to a 5.0/302 Mustang roller cam engine, mild torque cam, with a slight lope in the idle. Aluminum intake manifold and off-road HOLLEY carburetor. Single feed, single pump. Vacuum secondaries. Polished aluminum pulleys with SERPENTINE conversion, including a custom A/C mounting system, and low mount a/c compressor. An electric fan system has been installed for all your cooling needs. A/C is all completely new, including the condenser, dryer lines, interior unit, box, heater core, everything in the system is NEW. MSD 6al ignition system. MSD 302 ford distributor TAYLOR plugs wires custom made. Truck has stainless steel headers flowing into a flow master muffler with dual tips. STRAIGHT AXLE conversion by custom diesel, we used bronco axles from a 79 bronco donor. NEW process TRANSFER case np 205 Dana 44 up front with new WARN lockouts. FORD 9 INCH rear end Both axles have recent brakes drums and rotors. New Rancho shocks. HIGH PERFORMANCE clutch installed as well as new slave cylinder. New STEERING STABILIZER installed on the front axle. HOOD is a steel LMC piece it is a COWN INDUCTION type hood, very nice fit and finish. All tailgate hardware, inside the TAILGATE and outside is NEW as well include the support cables. Bumpers and ROCK SLIDERS are custom built pieces coated in rhino lining the front bumper is a custom PAINTED piece. NEW door panels, replacement door hinges, window cranks, seals, gaskets and weather-stripping in all of the windows. EVERY piece of GLASS is BRAND NEW. Including the side windows, NEW rear SLIDING window and a NEW WINDSHIELD all of the glass. GRILLE is all completely new, the aluminum surround, the center grille the headlight doors, the turn signals, the headlights and trim rings, the side marker lights all NEW! BRAND new 37 inch TOYO tires installed on custom MICKEY Thompson wheels Wheels have been custom painted to match the paint on the truck with black and calypso HOUSE OF COLORS green paint, this is the same PAINT they use on the 2010 and up CAMARO. The PAINT on the body is a MIRROR finish. This truck does NOT see rain or any outdoor time except on the occasion it goes to a SHOW. INTERIOR, the truck had the inside of the cab PAINTED in this complete refinish, nearly every piece of the interior is new including CUSTOM bench seat with STRICTLY F150 embroidered into the headrest. The carpeting is BRAND NEW. I am selling because I don’t drive this truck, I have many vehicles old and new, this is one that just doesn’t get driven that much, I have obviously invested way too much time and effort into a bull nose ford.
