Very Nice clean 1973 Amc Amx Javelin. Orig 401 engine rebuilt 10k miles ago along with the rebuilt 727 automatic transmission. Engine and trans redone with all stock components as in compression ratio and camshaft. Starts right up and runs strong with no smoke/ticks/knocks or leaks. The car has had 1 repaint 20 years ago in the factory correct "Trans-am red" and although it has some minor chips it still buffs up to a nice lustre and will be well represented at your local car show or cruise night, up close or far away its very respectable. Most of the trim work is great but a few small pieces can use attention. This is a true Z code car not a repower or a clone. Go-pack optioned twin grip rear ect. Below I will list all the new stuff I've done.Brakes all around with calipers,rotors,pads,shoes,booster,master cyl. rear brake cylinders.ect.Heddman ceramic coated headersFlowmaster exhaust from headers to SS tips. Car drive straight as an arrow.Edelbrock performer carb & cal custom air filterMsd ignitionFuel pumpBatterycablesRetrosound blue tooth radio Pioneer rear deck speakersLegendary seat upholsteryRug and floor mats When I took out the orig carpeting this past winter a small rust hole was discovered on the passenger floor about the size of a silver dollar. A correct floor pan was purchased and used for a proper correct professional repair. Seat tracks where cleaned lubed a now work smoothly. Instruments working are Oil pressure, Amps, temp fuel, Speedo. Not working in the clock and tach. Orig headliner has a small hole abve the passenger visor that can only be seen when the visor is down. The car came with air conditioning although the compressor and condenser have been removed be fore I owned it. All glass is crack and chip free and very clear. The factory cowl induction air cleaner assy. is long gone. The car runs strong and cool as I have driven it to are car show recently over 200 miles from home. The next thing I would like to do is replacement of all the window gaskets on the doors. All windows roll up and down smoothly.
