For sale: 2001 BMW 740 iLBlack exterior, Beige interiorMileage: 221,850This car is cosmetically very good. The paint is excellent, with only a few imperfections on the whole car (see pictures.) The interior is clean, the leather is in very good condition, no loss of color or fading. Everything works, though the dash has some display problems which are extremely common on these cars (the E38 (7-series), E39 (5-series), and E53 (X5) all had problems with the LCD displays.) The screen works better when warm, but odometer is clearly readable with 221.5k miles.The car has BMW Style 65 wheels on it which were a style only available on the M5 and are some of the best-looking wheels available on an E38. The passenger-side rear wheel has some curb rash (see pictures) but overall the wheels are in good shape.The car has had recent service done since I bought it, including a new transmission filter and fluid, some suspension work, cooling system work and new hoses, new diff fluid, and regular oil changes with Mobil 1 synthetic.Overall the car is in very good condition, it runs and drives very well. Update: Recently transmission has started slipping some; I will replace the trans. fluid/filter again, but keep in mind it will likely need a new transmission relatively soon (<20k miles.)
