1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport . Non-original- 454 cubic inch Big Block. I will start out saying I have owned this car for 16 years. During that time almost everything on the car has been rebuilt or replaced with new parts. I will describe the engine and running gear first. The car had a 350 engine that I replaced with a 454 from a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado SS truck. I also have the 400 turbo that came with this engine.Every thing on the car is Super Sport including the original instrument panel and 12 bolt rear end. The rear end is a 1971 year code- 12 Bolt poss traction that has been totally rebuilt. The transmission is a turbo 350 with a shift kit. The transmission works so well I decided not to install the 400 turbo but it does go with the car. The engine has been totally rebuilt. It has a Crane cam and lifters. I have all the recipes for most of the parts. It has a new Holly 750 carburetor., Hooker headers, Electronic distributor. New horns. Several chrome dress / aluminum up parts and a chrome alternator. The engine is strong and runs very good. It has less than 5,000 miles . The engine compartment and underside of the hood have been detailed and shows very well. The underside of the car has been cleaned and painted. The front suspension has been rebuilt along with the brakes. It has new shocks and exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The American Racing aluminum wheels and tires are only a couple of years old and in excellent condition. Both of the bumpers, front and rear are New. New wheel well chrome. New rubber gaskets around both doors, trunk and hood. New window fuzzies inside and out. The convertible top with glass rear window, was put on New with New rubber seals. New trunk mat. New windshield with New post rubber seals. New convertible top boot and storage bag. New spare tire. Original tire jack and lug wrench. The Jack and spare wheel are show detailed with a new tire. Interior: New carpet , New seat covers front and rear. New console parts. New door panels, Nice original dash pad. I am sure I am leaving out many new parts. Just look and you will see there are no shabby worn parts on my chevelle. This is a beautiful chevelle that gets looks and positive comments where ever it goes. It is is drive away condition. It travels straight down the road and does not pull to either side when applying the brakes. The car is stored in my garage and only driven in the summer to car shows and cruise ins. Items describes as New were bought new by me since I have owned the car not brand new as in last week etc. This car is sure to only increase in value as long as it is kept in its present condition. Note: I believe this to be an original SS car without the original matching number motor and transmission but I do not guarantee that as I do not have its build sheet.
