1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Up for bid is a 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. This truck has an awesome patina that only mother nature can create. The door lettering is original as well. The cab has had new floors put in as well as cab corners that have been blended into the original paint. It sits on a custom built 2x6 frame following original dimensions but with an added 4 inch kickup over the rear axle to allow for the lowered stance. Most every part of this build used new parts besides the original body. New or rebuilt parts are as follows:Engine: 406 Small block chevy had been rebuilt. Has good power and oil pressure. Wouldn't be afraid to drive anywhere.Transmission: Turbo Hydramatic 350. Completely rebuilt when installed.Rear end: 8.8 Ford. New bearings, seals, 31 spline axles, 3.73 ratio.Front suspension: Heidts Mustang 2 independent. Boxed in cross member and used the one piece lower a-arm sleeves as well as adding an extra plate between the frame and lower a-arm mount, which eliminates the worry of the mount tearing out of the crossmember. All of the components of the front end are new. Manual rack and pinion.Rear suspension: Thorbecke Brothers Monster 4-link (1.5" tubes .250 wall) mounted on TCI All-American adjustable coilovers. Exhaust: True duals with Flowmaster 40 Series. 2.5 mandrel bent tube.Brakes: All new GM metric disc brakes up front, all new lines front to back. Rear brakes have been completely rebuilt. Custom Performance Products boosted dual master cylinder with proportioning valve and under dash swing pedal.Exterior: All new rubber seals around glass, new weatherstrip. Smoke tint glass. Rebuilt vent windows. Fog lamps work. Projector headlights. LED taillights and LED integrated turn signals in mirrors. New running boards and mounts. Steel bed floor with tool box. Has a hidden tow hitch behind license plate. New wheels and tires. 18x8 Front and 20x8.5 Rear.Interior: Sound and heat barrier throughout. New carpet, headliner. Black and brown vinyl on seats and door panels. Shaved radio hole and put a new Custom Autosound deck under the dash with AUX input and USB. Half wrapped dash and 14" billet steering wheel. Billet gas/brake/dimmer pedals. Lokar shifter. Underdash white LED Interior lights come on when either door opens. Has a loud air horn and a electric horn. New dolphin gauges all working. Underdash air conditioning and heat, with 3 speed fan and adjustable thermostat. I built this truck from the ground up to be daily driven and not have to worry about nice paint, but with modern conveniences like air/heat, finished interior, modern drivetrain. I have put just over 6500 miles on since being completed last fall. All the bugs are worked out and ready to be enjoyed. On Jun-23-15 at 16:02:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Have had a lot of interest in the truck. Will try to answer all of your questions. Truck runs and drives great and will keep up with interstate traffic with no problem. Runs at 2500 rpm at 65mph. I tow a 13 foot camper going 65 and 2800 rmp. It probably wouldn't tow a full size car trailer loaded however, unless you stiffened up the rear end. It is a lowered vehicle so you have to be aware of big potholes, drop offs, etc. Everything is tucked up inside the framerails so no worry to rip anything off. Also the drive shaft has a full hoop crossmember. All new 12 circuit wiring harness with fan and horn relays. 15" electric cooling fan and coolant overflow tank. New 3 core aluminum radiator. Does not overheat on the hottest of days. Temp runs at 180 moving and 210 idle. Also the wipers are not hooked up. I just use rain-x and it works well. The hitch is accessed by removing two wing nuts on the plate and it drops down to access the receiver.
