Sold my buggy once but didn't work out, so listing it again. Felt it was a sign for me to keep her, but I just don't drive it much anymore. Really want someone who appreciates her and will take her out for people to enjoy. I built the car 36 years ago from a 69 beetle and an old mid 60's Spider style 500 buggy that an older friend of mine had and later stored in a barn. I stumbled across it by chance, talked the guy into selling it to me, dug her out and took her home. I had to scrap the frame and engine. Took a good pan, shortened it 13", overhauled the engine and put it back together. An eccentric body shop guy I worked for painted a base of silver metal flake, then airbrushed green, black and blue with the help of a bottle of jack.. Then clear coated with imron which has held up impeccably. It has been stored inside the whole time also. The interior was completely redone and is like new. Has a rumble seat in back that flips up to reveal battery. The only thing I would do to it is have the carburetor rebuilt possibly. It gets so much attention when I take her out. Definitely one of a kind! This buggy body style was similar to the one featured in the 60's Monkee's TV show. Also referred to as a "glitter bug" but is not an actual branded glitter bug....
