Vehicle Detail
Please read entire listing before bidding on this truck. You are bidding on a nice used 2003 Toyota Tacoma located just outside Boston in Melrose Mass. This is my truck and I bought it new in 2003 and I have the window sticker and invoice for it. It has 215,500 miles on it. They are all original. Over the past 12 years, it has been taken very good care of. It has almost always been factory serviced. I have some of the service reports/receipts showing the history. The truck has the following features: There are several extra keys and the factory key code fob showing the number used to cut new keys. I have another binky, I just don’t know where it is. When found, I can send it to you. The orginal Factory SERVICE Manuals are included. It is a 5 speed stick or standard transmission with a V6 3.4L engine It is 4 wheel drive on the fly with a LOCKING REAR DIFFERENTIAL Power windows and power steering with a tilt wheel Air Conditioning Power locks Cruise control The truck is fast and peppy. It handles very well. It has a nice get up and go speed from a stop. It is a smoke free truck It has 15 inch steel wheels It has the SR5 package Everything on the truck works as far as I can tell. The truck is currently registered and has a current inspections sticker All the lights work and there are spare bulbs There is about an 8th of an inch of tread left on the tires. The title is free and clear. The frame is solid with no rot. The truck has never been garaged. It always has been an outside vehicle. It was a daily driver. The truck was just cleaned, washed and waxed. It looks great. The guys at the Allston truck wash were all salivating over the truck. I had two guys make me an offer as I picked up the truck. The truck has had the following work or parts replaced: Rear tailgate, bumper and turn signals replaced in 2007 Rear wheel bearings replaced in 2007 Shocks and struts replaced in 2009 Tie rod end in 2009 Front brakes 2009 Brake master cylinder in 2010 Rear axle seals, rear brakes and drums in 2010 Windshield in 2009 4 new tires in July 2011 New muffler August 2011 Timing belts and water pump replaced in June 2012 New clutch pedal Jun 2012 New battery Oct 2013 New universal joint 2013 New rear leaf spring on each side in 2014 New front bumper in 2015. Old one had a whole in the size of a fist. Both exhaust Oxygen sensors were replaced a week ago. The truck has the following imperfections: The truck was rear ended at low speed on Storrow Drive. The rear bumper, tailgate and turn signals were replaced. It was more cosmetic than anything else. There were no issues mechanically after being hit. The tail gate does require a gentle nudge to fully latch. I think one of the plastic guides for the latch bolt is missing. This happened long after the accident. There are spots of rust here and there. See the pictures. There is an oil leak, just discovered it a week ago when replacing the O2 sensors The power steering makes a noise when turned to hard stop. Filled up oil reservoir and noise went away. The grey plastic cover on the driver’s side seat moving mechanism is damaged. You can see it in the picture. It is loose. No impact other than cosmetic. The truck used to take regular gas. It started nocking about 5 years ago, took it to two different Toyotas, both could not find anything wrong with it (useless dealerships) told me to use Hi-Test gas. Have been using the highest octane at the pump with no knocking since then. Just needs a sensor replaced. Not sure which one. There are some bolt holes in the bed of the truck where I had cleats and a back rack mounted. See the pictures There is rust on the underside of the truck. The front bumper was a pain to replace because of the rust. The only thing you will need is probably new tires for your next inspection. Take a look at the engine sensors to get rid of the knocking and you can use regular gas. Shocks may need to be replaced someday. This is a great little truck. It has been well maintained. It is in good overall shape. There are no major issues. See list of imperfections above. You are bidding on a nice truck that has been a daily driver for me. I am getting rid of it due to its age and I need to pull a 9000 lb boat. I do not sell trucks. I am not a truck dealer. I sell tools and other cool basement related items on eBay.
