Vehicle Detail
2008 BMW X5 4.8is HARTGE Tuner Truck What you are viewing is the rarest of the rare. Not more than 6 of these BMW’s are in the US. This has been one of my favorite vehicles. We own 2 exotic cars and this truck gets more questions at gas stations than any other car we have. It’s absolutely stunning in person and looks like a sports car with the deep dish wheels and lowered stance. The exhaust has a low growl until you hit the gas and then it roars. I’ve owned the car for 4 years and it’s time to move on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it whatsoever. I’m an adult (43 yrs) and it has been well taken care of, fully serviced and never smoked in or abused in any way. It did get hit in the fall (picture attached). It was parked and a teenage girl in a Volvo clipped the bumper pulling in to a parking space. I could not get another Hartge bumper as they are out of production, so it has an AC Schnitzer replica bumper now. The repairs are perfect and the car looks amazing. This began as a 2008 BMW X5 4.8is. Then a full Hartge Body Kit including Front Bumper, Side Skirts, Rear Valance, Hartge Exhaust, Full Hartge Badging and Hartge Aluminum Pedals were added. Then the best of the best - GENUINE 22” custom-for-this-truck ADV1 full aluminum wheels painted gloss black (Wheels took 8 weeks to build and were one-off customs for this truck). Added a set of Pirelli Scorpion Zero Tires with 295/30/22 in front and Massive 13” Wide 335/25/22 in Back. Tires are nearly new and have 90% tread left. A custom stainless exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and Hartge tips was fabricated and installed. The front springs were replaced with H&R springs to lower and the Suspension Air-Bag system was modified to lower the stance approximately 1.25” all around. It sits low and looks great. Finally a full set of weather tech floor liners along with a factory BMW cargo liner was added. The engine is completely stock and unmolested. Condition: The exterior is a 9.0 out of 10. It has no dents, no dings, no scratches. I give it a 9.0 because it has a few rock chips on the front grille and the side skirts have a few chips as well. The interior is a 9.5 out of 10. It looks absolutely brand new. Carpets are clean, no smells and unlike some BMW’s the steering wheel has no wear and the window controls have no wear etc… The car is in amazing shape. Here is a list of the Aftermarket options with original costs: Full Hartge Body Kit including Bumper, Side Skirts and Rear Valance $7,500.00 Paint and Body work to Mount the body kit $2,200.00All Stainless Exhaust with Hartge Exhaust Tips $3,400.0022” GENUINE ADV1 Wheels $8,400.00Pirelli Scorpion Tires 295/30/22 and 335/25/22 $1,280.00Labor and Springs to lower the truck 1.25" all around: $1200.00Hartge Badging $400.00Hartge Pedal Kit $360.00Total Aftermarket Cost: $24,740.00 The truck also came with every option as it was the top model for 2008. Some notable options include: Heated and Air Conditioned Front Seats (Driver Seat has Massage)Heated Steering WheelCold Weather PackageSport PackagePremium PackageKeyless StartXenon HeadlightsPanorama Sun RoofNavigation6 Disc CD ChangeriPod ConnectionRear View CameraPark SensorsHeads-Up Display for Speed and NavigationRear Window ShadesPower Lift Gate Truck needs absolutely nothing. Brakes were replaced at ~62,000 miles with Akrapovic Rotors and Pads (high performance – much better than stock BMW setup). So I put a bunch of thought in to pricing the truck – Here’s my methodology: Trade in Value according to KBB is $21,000.00. I then took the total aftermarket parts cost of $24,740.00 and discounted that by a ton for an asking price of: $25,000.00. I know everybody on Ebay wants to try to get a super deal and steal a car. I think what I’m asking is very reasonable considering the condition and cost to replicate the car. I mean just to buy the wheels and tires costs almost $10,000.00 (check out the ADV1 site if you think I’m kidding). Please email me with questions. Happy to arrange a PPI at buyer’s expense – good luck.
