You are looking at a 1999 BMW K1200LT. I have owned it for six years and has been the bike I have had the most fun riding. If you are famililar with these bikes, then it has the standard LT features. This bike is ion immaculate shape. The paint is in great condition. It has always been garage kept and covered. The lettering on the handle bars is still in excellent shape. The radio display still works however the previous owner removed the CD changer from the back box. The brackets and wiring are still there however. I was going to put one back in, but when I do ride, we tend to go long distances and the space is needed. The tires are in good shape and I replaces all the brakes and flushed the system last year. All maintenance is done regularly. The bike has the original tool kit, but not the manual. I do have a service manual though, and I will include the oil filter removal tool (very important). Everything on this bike works. I have never laid it down. The scratches are from the previous owner. I did add the Cee Bailey's shield and the back rest. This bike is the perfect blend between sports bike and touring bike. The engine runs smooth with NO issues. The rear seal is NOT leaking. It has never leaked and with the mileage on the bike, it has either already been fixed or is never going to leak! NO oil leaks! 1999 was the only year they produced this bike in burgundy and it is my favorite color. This bike is fun to ride and is comfortable enough to run between fill ups (around 220-250 miles). All that great stuff and finally the only problem with the bike. When I got it out this year to ride, I noticed (when revving the engine to around 6-7K) the clutch is starting to slip. This made me very sad. I am not capable of doing the repairs myself and BMW is not kind to their service needing customers. So, I let it go. This is a no reserve auction and the highest bidder will take the bike. I believe you could ride it home as long as you didn't get too aggressive, but I would recommend towing it if you are going far. If you are a DIYer, you can walk away with a great bike for a steal! If you want to ride, that can be arranged, but serious bidders only. I will not allow anyone to ride the bike without a helmet and motorcycle endorsement.
