Vehicle Detail

Original 2 owner 1966 GTO (I purchased it from the original owners) in need of restoration . Last PA state inspection was 1977. Odometer shows 060331. Car has rust and dents, but is complete minus a few trim pieces. Worst rust is in the trunk and LR quarter. I've only found a few small spots on the floors. Most seems to be the result of old/bad seals letting in water. YS Engine code matches 2 speed automatic for 1966. I did oil the cylinders and spin the engine by hand, but have not tried to start it. Transmission seems to be stuck in a gear. All tires hold air and car rolls, but break pedal goes to the floor. Interior is complete. Seats are in surprisingly good shape. Rugs are brittle. Headliner needs to be replaced. I have the Pontiac emblem for the steering wheel hub in the center console. I've tried to show the good and the bad in the pictures so please look carefully. The vehicle appears to be complete and original, and has not been disassembled, modified, etc... Please feel free to ask questions or request additional pictures. Vehicle does not run and is being sold "AS-IS" for a restoration or other project. The vehicle is also for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Buyer will be responsible for transporting the vehicle and all associated expenses. Best of luck, and thank you for bidding! On May-31-15 at 19:03:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 5/31 - Thank you all for the interest and questions. You've prompted me to do some more research. First, the good news. I found the original paper data sheet hog ringed to the bottom of the back seat and it matches the information already listed and photographed on the cowl plate. I also was able to clean of the distributor pad and photograph the engine numbers that confirm it is indeed a 1966 396Ci, 335hp, engine collaborating the YS engine code on the front of the block. While cleaning the distributor pad I noticed what appears to be old paint pen handwriting on the firewall that reads 223 and 2W. I thought it was interesting but didn't know what to make of it until I found the data sheet. Then I realized it's the trim package code (233=black vinyl), and the option code ( 2= group 2, W=2 speed automatic). Please note this is all based on what I believe to be credible resources on the internet. I also found a YF code on the RR axle tube which appears to indicate a positive with 3.23 gears and standard brake linings (not metallic). I found the numbers 66 ML 178N, but haven't been able to find a definition. Now, the disappointing. After pulling back the last pieces of vinyl top around the windows I found the inside edges/corners of the sail panels have rusted thru in spots around the trim. Similarly, there send to be rust behind the front and rear glass trim. From what I understand this is not uncommon, and may not be a surprise to many, but I wanted to mention it specifically. I can not update the listing pictures, but appear to be able to add pictures when answering questions. I do have additional pictures if you are interested.
