1958 VW Beetle12 VOLT This is one of the cleanest bodies you will see. I have owned it for a little while but I acquired it from a trade. Everything works and is a daily driver. Bottom line is this VW does not need anything; you will buy it and drive it up and down the streets. Why are you selling it?Because I want to buy a house and the banks want more money down!!! Vehicle Identification Numbers The body matches the frame. History 1958, restored a few years ago, unknown exactly when. Miles 66K but, I’m sure the odometer has flipped a few times but I can’t tell you how many exactly it has. No one knows. Engine This is not the original engine to the bug, this engine is a beefier 1974-1600CC with dual carbs. Transmission and clutch The trans works great as it should. The clutch was replaced about 8 months ago with a new cable. Heater Works as it should. Tires Solid about 80%, don’t worry you wont have to buy any. Brakes Stops on a dime Glass The window is a newer repo, but the side windows and rear have German emblems so I’m guessing they are old. No cracks or chips. Paint I don’t know how old it is but it looks very nice. Everyone loves it. It does have some cracks and dings. Its not perfect. If perfect like a new car is a 10, and 1 is a rust-bucket, I would give this bug a 7 or 8. Where the hood latch sits, someone tried to force it closed and the paint cracked. Also the door jambs have little dings and the headlights have bubbling around the rings. Radio This has one of the new types with MP3 players and chargers for your phone. It has four speakers and is loud. Battery New Stainless Steal Roof rack Brand new. Electric 12 Volt, all the lights work and the wires look good. Cigarette lighter works too.
