1967 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible with a factory Q code 428 engine, 4BBL with automatic transmission and 73K actual miles. I bought the car from on older gentleman (late 70s) who purchased from the original family about 15 plus years ago. His motive for selling was moving to Arizona. He stated the car was special ordered by a Ford employee in Detroit, who lost it to his wife in a divorce. She brought it to Minnesota where it mostly sat in storage until he purchased it. The gentleman I bought the the car from did extensive detail work which included: adding the "working" spotlights, transmission rebuild, complete brake overhaul, rims sandblasted, repainted (spare too), new tires, reupholstered the front seat bottom, complete detail of the car. inside and out. He was proud of the car and used it in many parades. The Marti Report I have states it's 1 of 146 built, which is shown in pictures and I will include with the sale. Also, included is a bunch of parts I purchased at a local all Ford junkyard that was going out of business due to owners retirement (i.e. period hub caps, interior chrome, taillight assemblies and more). I also have a service manual I purchased at a local car show that goes as well. This is a big car that just floats down the road and just fly's if you step on it...especially on the highway. It's extremely fun to drive, my kids have just loved it. It's is a cool car that you will not be disappointed with and can enjoy immediately. Haggerty low end value condition #4 is $13,500.00. This is a true full size muscle car. The Ford Galaxie's ruled Nascar in the early 60's before Dodge took over with the Daytona . There are many more popular muscle cars out there (i.e. Mustang, Chevelle, Camaro etc.) but you will need to pay way more for one in the same condition.
