Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a stalled project, my 1952 Ford F1. It has a Camaro subfrome with a new steering box and all tie rods etc. replaced as needed. Also has new rotors, calipers, and all bearing and seals in the front. If you want to use the existing A-arms the cross shafts should be replaced, I didn't do it because I planned to buy tubular control arms for it when I got to that point. Also some of the tie rod end rubber boots are split from sitting. They can be replaced separately. The frame is boxed from the subframe to the front of the rear spring hangers. The rear springs were sandblasted and bushings and pins replaced as well as new spring liner. It has a 9 inch Ford rear with 3.00 gears and is open at this time. It works but has not been rebuilt, something that should probably be done. The wheels are 17 inch Mustang wheels from a 1998 on adapters/spacers front and rear. Tires are just rollers and will need to be replaced before driving the truck. I am not including an engine with this auction. The truck currently has a 1971 Ford 429 and C6 automatic sitting in it that are available for an extra $500- the engine had 70K original on it and has new rings, bearings, timing set, oil pump, Summit Racing cam, and Ford Motorsport rear sump oil pan kit. Heads are original DOVE that have been port matched to the intake and have all new valves, springs, retainers etc. but do not have hardened inserts installed (A miss communication with the machine shop) It still needs lifters, rockers, and valve covers. Intake is an Edelbrock Performer and there is no carb. The C6 is rebuilt and includes a new torque converter. There are no engine/trans mounts so if the winning bidder doesn't want to buy the engine and transmission they could use pretty much anything they may have laying around. I have a clean and clear Nevada title in my name that matches the cab, however there are no numbers stamped into the frame at this time (they went away with the subframe). I did not install the subframe so when I bought it I took it to a frame shop to be measured before I did anything- it is straight and square. At some point somebody cut a few inches off the back of the frame that still needs to be replaced and I will include pieces I gathered from another frame, they will need to be cleaned and welded on. I don't have a bed worth messing with but I can include the cross pieces if you'd like. I do have a trailer made out of a 50-52 bed I can include for nothing, pretty close to what it's worth but there may be pieces worth fixing for this project. The cab is pretty straight and almost rust free. There is a hole in the passenger side floor as seen in the pics but really nothing else. The only trans cover I have has a rust hole in it where the driver's foot would rest next to the throttle. The front fenders are not bad but the repairs on the front "eyebrows" over the headlights still need some corrections and I have another eyebrow piece I will include. The hood is pretty close too but needs to be tweaked at the cowl edge on the passenger side. I have both a 51 and 52 filler piece above the grill, depending if you want the FORD letters or not. The one with mount holes is nice, the other (the one installed in the pics) has a small dent in the middle. The driver side front inner fender is bent up and didn't allow the fender to bolt up right but I have another one included that has been blasted but will need to be trimmed around the bottom for control arm clearance. I have no trim for the hood other than the emblems shown in the pics, no side trim. The running boards are included but need work. I think I have covered everything but it has been sitting almost 3 years since I worked on it. Please ask any questions and I will answer as best I can.
