Vehicle Detail
Have a 2000 Volkswagen Golf up for bid here, Its the GLS package which is more or less a 4 door GTI. It has the 1.8 Turbo engine with only 109,XXX on it.It has a aftermarket exhaust, Forge blow off valve, new tires on it last year with hardly any wear on them. Had new Clutch, Oil Pump and Coil Packs put in. Its not a show car but it doesn't have any rust on it. Now the bad! I stored it for the winter and went to fire it up and I cant get it to start... It will crank and crank and it wants to fire sometimes but just doesn't ever quite get there! I cant imagine the engine shot because it was running fine before I parked it for the Winter and had just taken it on a 9 hour each way trip to Chicago last fall. But to err on the side off caution just consider it a project and when you fix it, it will be a giant bonus haha. Worst case scenario its a great chassis for a VR6 project! I genuinely hate to sell it but work has gotten crazy and I don't have the time to mess with it and my parents have been very patient letting me store it in their garage for the last 8 months but, their patience has justifiably run out and I need to get rid of it. If you have some mechanical know how I'm sure you can get it running. Also the passenger side windshield wiper blade post is broken. Its a cheap fix and was like that when I bought the car but I kind of liked the way it looked and the drivers side wiper does the bulk of the windshield so it never bothered me but I want to make sure you know about it. Obviously it will need to be trailered so keep that in mind also. Thanks for looking!
