Vehicle Detail

Here for sale is a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door Hardtop. I bought this car in Arizona about 3 years ago and was going to restomod it. I have since moved on to other projects and no longer have time for this one. So that being said here is the scoop on this car. It’s an Arizona car so hardly any rust. Rocker panels appear to be solid, roof lines also. Floor boards and trunk all appear solid. Car needs interior, body work, paint, transmission rebuild and currently doesn’t start. It appears that the ignition switch is bad. The engine turns over at the solenoid with a starter test button. Also the missing trim pieces are included but are pretty rough and will need major repair. It’s missing the driver side door panel. The dash is in pretty good shape. Also installed a new radiator and gas tank. The engine however is where I put my money. The short block was rebuilt with components from the Edelbrock 289 Top End Kit model #2027. Top End Engine Kit, Power Package, Intake, Cylinder Heads, Cam, Timing Chain, Head Bolts, Ford, 289, Kit. The kit can be looked up online to see what’s included but basically a mild camshaft, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. Also installed an Edelbrock carb. About $2900 invested in the engine alone. The specs are listed below for the Top End kit. Like I said the engine turns over but I checked/tested the spark and realized it’s not turning over because it’s not getting spark. Just need to replace the wire from the solenoid to the coil since it seems the coil is not getting juice from the battery. The original wire is probably just shot out (it is 40 years old.) The car has now been sitting for just over a year. I just tested the battery and the engine still turns over so the battery is good. Fuel has been sitting in the tank. I poured Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer in the tank to keep the fuel from going bad but I would probably drain the tank and pour fresh fuel in before running it. The car is current and registered in CA. I have a clean pink slip in my name. Total I have about $5000 invested in the car but I’m moving on to my other project and I’m not going to spend any more money on this one. So my loss is your gain. I don’t have room for this car with my other projects sitting around so I’m selling no reserve so I can just get this car out of my garage. Please ask all questions prior to bidding, car is available to look at, just message me for the info. Please understand this is a project car so don’t expect something more than what it is. I will take cash or Cashier’s Check. No personal checks or money orders. No trades. Thank you. These kits include almost everything you need to make serious horsepower. Car is being sold AS IS. No warranties implied or stated. All sales are final. On May-13-15 at 09:27:48 PDT, seller added the following information: So had some questions about whether the engine is running. It is not currently running and I haven't had it running. The coil is not getting power from the solenoid and needs a new wire installed. It's a pretty simple rewire but I don't have time to do it. The car was running when I bought it. But it has been sitting for over a year now. Also the glass is in good shape but the driver side regulator needs to be replaced. The window can be pushed and pulled up and down manually but the crank is not working. Thank you for your questions and happy bidding.
