This is a 2011 Ariel Atom 3, with a factory installed windshield. Nearly every question you have about how it is equipped can be answered by looking at the pictures. I purchased the Atom as a factory assembled and tested rolling chassis. Before I took the car home, the factory installed a test motor and drove the car for quality control purposes. They then removed the test motor. I picked up the Atom and a brand new K20Z3 engine and transmission, then took them home. The engine and transmission were installed by a Honda/Acura ASE Master Technician. I have hundreds of pictures and several videos covering every aspect of the car’s life from frame up assembly through road driving. I can send links to those who are seriously interested in buying the car. You see some rust on the brake rotors. Your test drive will knock that right off. There isn't a spec of rust anywhere else. Remember, this car only has 73 miles on it. This Atom comes with a road lighting kit and license plate brackets that have not been installed. The windshield wiper is installed and works perfectly. Our original intent was to make and share a video of the power-train installation, (to show how easy it is) install the road lighting kit, register the Atom, and enjoy it. However, major life changes are prompting us to sell the Atom. I am one of the biggest Atom fans in the world. I'll probably find a way to get back into one someday. Once you've driven an Atom, all other sports cars are ruined for you. You've gone to heaven, (the Atom) and come back to earth. (other cars) We have owned another Atom previously. We drove that one at every opportunity. So I want describe what it is like to own one. In our opinion, (the owners) the Atom is the greatest sports car ever made. On the street it has two personalities. It can be a relaxing, wind in your hair, joy to drive. You could take your wife, your child, or your grandfather for a ride to the mall in it. It can be driven mildly, simply for the joy of cruising. Or...and I know this is you: You can drive it like it was meant to be driven, and it will thrill you like no other car. The screaming engine and guttural V-tech growl are absolutely addictive. In this machine, you can scare anyone as bad as you want to scare them. The performance potential of this car is probably beyond your current skill level to fully explore. Seriously. If you want to go that route, just put track tires on it. Start taking lessons. Lots of lessons. That Atom has been described as a crotch-rocket with with four wheels, a ground based fighter jet, a road legal race car, and "the most fun you can have with your clothes on." It really does get more attention than exotic sports cars costing 10 times more than it does. Why? Most people simply don't know what the heck it is. They do a double take when they see it. Camera phones come out by the dozens. You aren't a superstar, but people think this car is. You will never regret buying an Ariel Atom. You will always miss yours if you sell it. To drive an Atom is to live a fantasy. You become the Jet pilot, the race car driver, the X-Wing fighter pilot, the movie star, the eccentric millionaire, the man who has found what everyone else wants..... but didn't know it until they saw you driving it. What I have written above is just the beginning of the Atom experience. The Atom Club (the small group of owners and fans found across the world) is a fantastic group of people. Find them. There is great support and fellowship to be found among them. Find the roads: The tail of the Dragon, Coastal Route 1, all the other greats… Take this Atom there. Take a friend. Happy Bidding. I wanted to find something, fast, fun, reliable, easy to work on, that looks great. Here it is, the Ariel Atom.” Of note: The Atom weighs about 1300 pounds. It puts so little stress on the brakes and other components, that you spend far less maintaining and refueling this street or track capable car than you will on nearly any other type of bloated whale that people call a sports car.
