1951 Cadillac Coupe DeVille/////Very Cool Looking////// Rare collectable automobile!! Only 10,241 of these cars were produced for 1951. (Over 54,000 4 doors in that same year) Looks like Rat Rod / Low rider but can be made back to original!! Registered in Ct. Since 2014 and I am driving and enjoying it now. I do not have a title. Less than 5,000 miles since complete engine and transmission overhaul. There are 78,000 miles on her now. The radiator was reconditioned and tested. The plug wires were replaced. Brake shoes and wheel cylinders were also replaced. The brake master cylinder has just been replaced. Car has a new generator, voltage regulator and 12 volt battery. All exterior lighting has been changed to 12 volt including fog lamps. The ignition coil, points and condenser have been replaced. All interior, instrument and warning lights have been changed to 12 volt. The clock lights up but does not work. The fuel tank is new. The gauge sender and float are new. The carburetor is a Holley 4 barrel. The air cleaner is a 1965 Buick Riviera dual snorkel inlet with a new filter. New black carpet has been installed. New black seat covers installed on front and rear seats. The rear quarter windows are fixed ( do not move.) The front windows have been updated with electric new style power units. All original power hydraulic equipment has been disconnected and is still in the car or I have it saved. When I received car all windows and seat worked but then the power pump unit failed and reservoir is damaged. The radio and search button and floor button were working on 6 volt system but will not work now. It is disconnected. The vacuum power antenna is there but not working. The vacuum wipers are working. The front wheels are special Buick 15” Riviera with spinners. The tires are VERY OLD triple white wall General recaps. The rear wheels are original red Caddy 15” with trim rings. The tires are 1960’s Dunlop 60 series. These are in excellent shape for their age. The Lake pipes are not hooked up to the exhaust at this time. The exhaust is new from manifolds to rear bumper. The rear blower works. The under seat blower works however that heater core has been disconnected and I do not know the condition of it. The front heater blower works. The body is in Fair unrestored condition with perforated rust in the rear quarter area near front part of fender skirts on both sides. There have been some non professional attempts at stopping and covering it up and I left it like that. The paint appears original with some rusty spots in it. The Transmission is leaking from the front area. I have many other original parts for this car that go with it, including the original owner I.D. card,door pannels carborator wheels and some tires!
