Hi there, I have this truck for-sale. I'm selling because I just bought myself a new car. This little truck runs great. The engine is in great condition, I have always changed the oil and maintained well. The trans mission is a straight shift and also works great. So, pretty much mechanically sound.Now, I have noticed that when it is really cold outside 40 degrees F or colder the truck has to be warmed up really good, or it will sputter until the engine is at operating temperature. It does have really good heat, but it does not have air conditioning. The body is real solid does not have any serious rust(meaning rust all the way through, it has a few surface rust spots). Does not have any major body damage, does have a few small dings and or dents. The surface is primer and will need painting. The interior has no carpet, the seats are all torn up and will need replace or will need recovering. The dash pad has splits and will need to be replaced. The truck is a great project truck for someone who is into the Toyota hilux's. I cannot think of or have found a better one to fix up. It has never let me down, I have continuously drove it on the interstate and it just hums right along. Check out reviews on these engines they are built to last! I have never changed the brake pads or did any brake work so it could possible need some attention to the brakes. I'm sure there are allot of littl small things that could need fixing and please know I'm not a mechanic, and I'm selling this truck AS-IS. You can look at it, drive it check it out I do not mind. It is a great little project for someone, and I know these trucks have became very popular with the younger crowd, because for one they are always wanting me to pull over so they can look at it and take pictures of it. I bought it from and older gentleman about three years ago, and other than that I do not know the extensive history of it. I have know clue how many owners have owned it.
