Up for sale is my beautifully restored 1981 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT short box 4x4. I purchased this truck from the family of the original owner in May of 2013. I have a great passion for cars and their beauty but have decided to let a couple in my collection go and move on to other interests. This truck was special ordered in November of 1980 In West Virginia and all specked out to the owners desires.. I have every receipt of every bit of work that has ever been done to the this truck from day one. Original bill of sale, window sticker, order form, owners Manuel you name it its all there and every service reciept along the way. The original was a car enthusiast all well and took great pride in this truck for many years. He spent 2 years restoring it though 2004-05 and has only had 4,000 miles miles put on it since. The truck went through a full disassemble to just the cab sitting on the frame, and he logged all his time and labor he spent on this truck and everything he did I have all his work accounted for and all the attention the truck got. It received a full base clear paint job in PPG paint and it is just beautiful. And rust free and solid. I get thums up everytime I drive it an many compliments on it. I also took first place with it first car show I took it too it in the all truck class. He ordered it with all the great options. It's equipped with a 302 and C6 auto transmission 3.50 gears with locker rearend. Now upgraded with a 600 Holley 4bbl carb and edelbrock intake. Full dual exhaust with flowmasters. New 33in BFG All terrains on new wheels. All new brakes, and shocks. It's also the trailer special has the heavy duty springs quad shock front suspension and sway bars front and rear. Dual fuel tanks, air conditioning that has been converted to R134. Factory tach, and am/fm stereo radio. Sparred no effort to keep this truck true and correct and so much time and work went into it to keep it that way. All inteior is factory original and correct . Engine only has 4k mikes on it, again all in the records. Truck itself only has 81,000 miles on it since new. It needs nothing but to be driven and enjoyed. This truck was the original owners baby and it shows it was defiantly a labor of love that he put in to this truck. I really hate to see it go because I know I will never replace it with one that has the story or the care that this truck has had. It's just time to move on to other things in life. Its a beautiful truck and I know that there are many car guys out there that will love and care for this truck the way we have. This truck is simply amazing it's like being in 1981 every time you drive it runs drives just as it did new and even smells new inside.
