Vehicle Detail
Amazing 2001 BMW 740IL Highline Edition. I have a truly stunning condition BMW 740iL Highline. This is the last year of the famed E38 Body Style in a very very rare Highline Trim Package. This was a very low production unique trim package that featured all available options and a stunning custom color scheme. This one is the rarer of the two colors and features a beautiful Orinoco Green Metallic exterior with Ecru Nappa Leather Seats with green piping, English Green trim and carpet thought the interior. It is simply beautiful! This is a 51,000 Mile example that was a one owner car until I recently purchased it. It was owned by a snow bird who kept it at his home in the Chicago Suburbs to drive during the summer months. No salt, or snow, so there is simply no rust on this vehicle. The vehicle was owned by a non smoker and smells new inside. The supple seats are in new condition with no significant wear, no bolster cracking on the driver’s seat. The Ecru headliner is as new with no flaws. The carpets and English Green floor mats are as new. It features the cold weather package with headed front and rear seats, heater steering wheel and a ski bag. The car features Xenon Headlights. This 740il also has the 16x9 BMW Widescreen Navigation with Nav Discs. This BMW 740iL was ordered with Run Flat Tires and it still wore the original OEM run flats when I purchased it. This vehicle comes with a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3s that were just installed this week at a cost of nearly $1,000. For handling and ride quality (and since there is a full sized spare that has never touched the ground) I elected not to put run flats back on, but put the best handling tire available for this vehicle. The paint is truly in stunning condition. The only flaws are a few rock chips on the hood a couple of very minor scuffs and a ¼” scratch in the driver door. There are no dings that I have detected. The paint is all original and this 740 boasts a clean carfax. The vehicle was been dealer serviced by the original owner and I have many of the service records that accompany the vehicle. The oil was changed just prior to my purchase. Every option in the vehicle functions and there are no services lights on. This auction includes two keys with keyless, a valet key, all books and service records. This is a no reserve auction and the vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder. If you have less than 5 positive feedback, you must contact me prior to bidding or your bid will be canceled. Thank you for looking on to the pictures. They are big files so please wait for them to all load! On Apr-08-15 at 12:00:22 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: When I sell my cars they are fully serviced. I have bought and sold a lot of vehicles on EBay and you want to buy from an honest seller who cares for the vehicle as their own even though they are selling it. When I took the pictures for this listing, I turned the key and click nothing happened. I checked the battery connections which I thought were lose from the trickle charger during winter storage. Then it started right up. Then it happened again this week. The ignition switch is failing which is common on E38s. I am having a new one installed at my cost. I don't want myself or the new buyer to get stuck because of a faulty ignition switch! In addition, not mentioned in the auction, the vehicle was just serviced when removed from storage this spring with a Synthetic Oil Change with OEM filter, New cabin air filters and a brake flush. Service 1. The cost of the services I have just had done is over $800. If you add the cost of brand new Michelins it's over $1,800 in service. All service is now up to date and this vehicle is ready to drive to its new home. Thank you, David One other item, this 740iL has a dealer installed K40 radar system that the original owner put in
