STRAIGHT UP, THIS IS A RESTORATION VEHICLE. Ask any questions, I will answer them. If you are looking for a daily driver, this needs A LOT of work, complete interior including another dash (my bird chewed this one up). Needs brakes, new clutch (maybe an adjustment), new wiring harness, lots of little things. If you are looking for a crawler, or off road toy, then strip it out, fix the wiring, brakes, and clutch, front driveline, and your JRV (Jeep Rescue Vehicle) is ready to go. I was going to lift it, and throw some 36's under it. I drove this for about 20 years, and besides general wear, and tear, have never had a problem with it. Oil changed faithfully every 2500 miles (recommended interval is 7500 miles (from the hood sticker)). Started first time everyday.due to health conditions, I have not driven it for a couple years, but start every month. I am not sure of the mileage, as I bought it used, I think it is around 300,000, as I put used dash in it. If you know the Suzuki engines, they call them the gutless wonders, as they have little power, and run FOREVER! I solved the gutless issue, and installed a header, and a weber 32/36 CFM carb, made a world of difference. Hills (Highway, city) that I could only climb at 25 MPH, I can now get up doing the speed limit (60 MPH). It does have the infamous1.3L samurai oil leaks. I had a second off road Samurai, and was amazed at that thing, never stopped, even after rolling it several different trips. Push it back over on it's wheels, and continue on. I guess that is why these are the most sought after offroad vehicles around. So you know what you are bidding on, if you have questions, please ask, I will give you straight up answers.
