For sale, a sweet and extremely well maintained, garage kept, 1990 Mitsubishi Montero, 4-door, 4-wheel drive, 6 CYL, 17 to 21 MPG, 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive, SUV with approximately 199,700 miles on her and a clean and clear title. The engine and body are in excellent condition with most repair records from current owner. She rides and drives very nicely and would be a fine reliable low maintenance 4X4 SUV for a college student or for work. At the time, this 1990 SUV was built for direct competition against the Land Rover and was rated by some as the better SUV. This 1990 Montero is a very rare and hard to find SUV in this excellent of condition. It shows less than average wear and tear than normal. It comes with the original owner's manual, jack and jack crank are original and in place. It’s a rare, unmolested survivor. This SUV is tight, very few rattles, bangs or squeaks. You will be amazed once you drive it. You will love this classic Montero’s nice looks and great ride with fantastic reliability that is not produced in today's cars and you can work on it yourself. No computer in this baby! The only reason I am selling this Montero is because my wife just retired and now we don’t need two vehicles at home. I keep all my vehicles up and they go to my mechanic on a regular basis for checkups so I can catch anything major going wrong. The only thing you must do with this vehicle is gas it up and change the oil regularly. I just started using Mobile 1, 30 weight, a long term oil that you don’t need to change but every 10+ thousand miles or so but that’s up to you but I want my old Montero to run forever. My 1990 Montero burns no oil and does not blow smoke on start up or while running. These SUVs are truly getting harder to find especially in this beautiful condition. Interior: It has the original blue cloth interior. It is in excellent condition with one minor tear on the back of the fold down back seat about an inch and a half in length. The seats and header are free of rips or tears. The carpets are clean and not soiled. The dash is crack free in excellent condition less a chip out of the right corner of the console lid about a 1/4 inch. Paint & Body: The majority of the body is basically rust free less some road sand, grit and pebble wear on the hood nose and around the windshield. Body paint is in very good condition but it does have some very minor dents on the passenger side rocker panel that could easily be removed with painless dent removal and some touch up. All shown in one of the pictures. Exhaust: It is in good shape with 0 leaks. Suspension, Breaks, Engine, Transmission and 4x4: No problems with any of the above. The suspension is tight and breaks are working just fine. The engine runs great. New battery put in about 2 weeks ago and a new windshield put in last week. The transmission is tight. The high/low and 2 wheel drive work great and this thing will take you just about anywhere you want to go. I will assist buyer in transporting and pickup if needed. If you plan to fly in and drive home then I will pick you up at Colorado Springs Airport and my Montero will get you back home no problem. My Montero SUV is sold as is with no warranty.
