Vehicle Detail

Selling a 1964 Mercedes Benz 220b sedan sedan, which I aquired from an estate sale, this is a very solid and complete car that runs and drives,it needs a brake master cylinder and a water pump installed, since it has a very low brake pedal and no flow from the master cylinder and a noisy water pump, both of this parts are included in the sale, the interior is very nice as far as seats, door panels, carpet and headliner are concerned, the dashboard has been recovered, but could be a little nicer in my opinion, there is a nice CD player installed, all of the keys are present and all of the locks are working, most of the owners literature is there as well.it looks like the car was repainted in its original color in the past, but looks very presentable with minor scuffs from long term storage-see pictures,if you are looking for concourse quality you probably want to repaint it,all in all a very easy restoration project or a nice weekend driver if you fix the brakes and water pump.this particular vehicle was produced at the armadora plant in Mexico city and is configured like a European model,so it has the desirable glass headlights and high guard bumpers front and rear, the marks you see on the windshield and on the seats are not mold, they are dusty footprints left by the farmers cats.i know very little about this cars history, since I bought it out of a pole barn where it was sitting for quite some time, this car is barn fresh and needs to be gone through before being put in service. If you have any questions or want to make me a buy it now offer feel free to call/text me at 630 946 7502 I included some pictures of the undercarriage which is very solid and has no undercoating, but is covered in a lot of yellow sand, which leads me to believe this car came from somewhere in the south where they have a lot of unpaved roadsFor Wilson the self proclaimed Mercedes expert from Maryland, who keeps insisting that this car was stolen and brought to Mexico, because according to him they never made Mercedes cars outside of Germany I will provide some facts and a breakdown of the chassis number1. Armadora is not Spanish for armadillo 2. Yes they made Mercedes cars outside of Germany-not many, but they didFirst three digits are for the chassis type-111 for a W111 platform, next three are the model 010 being a 220b salon, 7. Digit 1 for Lhd made in Germany,2 for Rhd 5 for Lhd made outside of Germany 6 for Rhd, 8. Digit is 0 for Std.trans, 1 for hydrak clutch and 2 for automatic trans, the last 6 digits are the sequential serial number.Dear Wilson, now that this issue is settled you can focus all your efforts on mastering the German language,so next time you call somebody names in their native language, they can actually understand what the hell you are trying to say!!!On Mar-11-15 at 18:22:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear ebayers I lowered the reserve price, this car is going to sell, right now it is less than $50 away from hitting the reserve, bid to own!!!
