Vehicle Detail
You're bidding on a 2001 Toyota Prius. Gets up to 40 mpg on the highway. This car has been amazing for road trips - I just took a road trip to Philadelphia from Maine for $16 one way in gas. I'm selling because I am buying an RV to drive/live in and don't need the Prius. This car has 349,000 miles on it, but the previous owner rebuilt the engine and had the battery rebuilt around 250,000 miles. That alone makes me confident this car will last for quite a few years to come. The batteries on these cars are one of the most expensive parts to replace. Even if you wanted to scrap and part it out, the battery and engine are really valuable! I have EXTENSIVE service history on this car from the previous owner and a clean title - I own the car outright. The Good:- Engine, transmission, brakes, battery, and all major components of the car are in great working order. I've been driving it for nearly two years and it's been a very reliable car. - After market CD player- Automatic windows- Heat and A/C work perfectly- Has done alright in the snow all things considered! This is a teeny car and it's held its own. The bad:- Some scratches and dings on body.- The automatic locks don't work but the car does lock just fine if you do so manually.- Interior is in good shape but there is some flaking on the paint on the steering wheel.- Can be a little testy starting up in the cold if it hasn't been run in a few days, but it turns over just fine after 2-3 tries.- To pass Maine state inspection the car will need the following: The passenger brake light and front door marker light need replaced, the passenger front tire needs replaced, the rocker panel and there's rust on the frame. I received an estimate of $1000 for all of these repairs - if you own a shop and can do the work yourself this will obviously be a lot cheaper. I really love this car but it's just not meeting my current needs. I'd happily put more money in it but I'm buying and living in an RV and don't need an extra vehicle at this time.On Feb-25-15 at 08:22:10 PST, seller added the following information: You're bidding on a 2001 Toyota Prius.
