2002 Mercedes C240. 180K Miles. I purchased this car back in November from its I believe 2nd owner. (He had it for many years, I do know that. ) I purchased it from him with a salvage title due to theft recovery. The insurance company totaled it and he elected to keep it. The only damage that was done was the rims. I purchased a set of chrome 17" rims with good tires to put on it which are shown in the pics. Other than maintenance, that's all I did to it. No body panels were replaced as there wasn't any damage. The rear bumper on the driver side has a small tear in it where it connects up by the rear quarter. (I tried to show this in the pics) The car was also painted a couple summers ago. Since I have had it, I have replaced the Crank Sensor and MAF Sensor. It has new brake pads and rotors on the front and also has a fairly fresh oil change (MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC) The door handle on the interior, front passenger side is broke off, and laying in the storage compartment of door panel. Interior is fair and could use a good cleaning. It has the 6 CD Changer that works well. The drivers side mirror glass was replaced as well, but im having a hard time getting it to stay in place. It likes to fall off when u shut the door. The reason it is mechanics special. It doesn't run very good at all. It developed a problem where it would take a minute to accelerate especially from a stop. Now when u start it up, when it idles there is a miss and it idles at very low RPM. If you try to accelerate it will pop and then eventually stall out. If you full throttle it, then it almost immediately stalls. Its a hit or miss, but not driveable this way. I am usually able to get it to run good enough to move around the drive way. When u try to accelerate it though, it just acts like maybe its starved for fuel or something and immediately cuts out. Sometimes when starting it cranks way longer as it should then will finally start up. I tried changing the fuel filter and adding injector cleaner but that didn't help. I have looked around and found maybe a fuel pump problem, but im unsure and have too many projects going on to continue on this one. Just know its not drivable in this state and will need to be hauled. The transmission shifts as it should. The vehicle comes with the original owners manual and 1 key. It does have a rebuilt salvage title due to recovered theft as I stated above. It wasn't crashed. Please ask all questions before bidding. This is a No RESERVE auction. The buyer will need to be present when pick up so that I can sign the title over to you. I have access to a notary for this. Payment by cash when the vehicle is picked up.
