Vehicle Detail

1968 'C' code Mustang Coupe. 289 with 2 bbl carb and auto trans. I purchased the car from a local estate settlement. It was refurbished as a weekend driver around 1990 and mostly stored since then. At the time of the refurb, the owner added factory A/C and power disc brakes. The 'blinker' hood was also added at the time. The body has held up well, but there were some repairs made and may need to be addressed depending on the new buyer's plans for the car. The floors are sold, as are the rails/etc. - there are some small patches that can be expected for a 47 year old Mustang. I cleaned up the paint with a buff and it still gives off a nice shine - I would say a 10-footer. I think this is a great start for a drive-as-you-go project that can be enjoyed with little investment. I don't have any history with the car and the true miles are unknown. Most early Mustangs at this price have been through the ringer and are major project - this one will make a great first Mustang or father/son/daughter project. I bought the car to re-sell, so no BS stories from me - please ask any questions and I will answer honestly. Figure all systems will need a once-over before taking it out for a cruise. It's not ready to drive hundreds of miles, so please figure on a shipper to get it home. I will add more pictures as the weather here allows. Thank you and good luck!On Jan-24-15 at 21:14:45 PST, seller added the following information: My overall opinion of the car: Exterior - 7 out of 10. The quarters appear to be original, but there were some patches back when the car was re-done. The front fenders and doors are in nice shape. The driver's door need adjustment - probably hinges to make it close better. Interior - 6 out of 10. The front seats look like they are from a '65. The dash pad and headliner are very nice, but it could all use a good cleaning and new carpet. Mechanical - 7 out of 10. It runs and drives OK, but could you a good tune to smooth it all out. The front disc brakes are a nice addition. The fluids all look pretty fresh. Overall - 7 out of 10. I see some floor patches inside the front rails, but overall it is sound. It does not need any major structural work at all. I would say with some overall TLC and a cool set of wheels/tires you can be cruising this spring and never lose a dime on this car.
