This 1976 Honda Civic CVCC was sold new in Santa Rosa, CA. and today has 42, 926 actual miles. The original owners name is in the Drivers Manual which shows all the services through February 22, 1987. We bought it about three years ago and brought it back to life with a new battery, four brake hoses, rear wheel cylinders, wiper blades, fresh oil, new oil and fuel filters plus 4 new radial tires. The timing belt was replaced; and the carburetor was rebuilt. A local radiator shop professionally cleaned and coated the fuel tank to prevent any problems. The original blue California license plates which expired in July 1989 are in the car. The California title is in my sister’s name. There are no back fees or penalties due. A new smog certificate will be included if you are going to register it in California. It drives very well and attracts quite a bit of positive attention. There are no rattles or unusual noises. It starts easily, does not smoke or overheat. There are no cracks in the dash, tears in the upholstery, or worn spots in the original carpet, but there are a few marks in the factory paint. All the lights, radio, heater, etc. work properly. The original tools, a spare Honda generator belt, and a factory shop manual are included. A factory instruction sleeve is still on the left sun-visor to advise those who are not familiar with a manual choke. Accessories include an AM radio, rubber floor mats, mud flaps, body side moldings, fog & backup lights, and a roof rack. A little over a month ago this car was sold on ebay. The high bidder was late in making the required deposit, but after setting and ignoring several dates he promised to make the final payment, he's stopped communicating. Oh well!Three weeks ago, a red repainted one of these cars with 89,000 miles sold on ebay for nearly $9000. We are willing to sell this car for considerably less. However, if it sells for more than it sold for to the non-paying buyer mentioned above, we intend to refund their deposit.
