Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV 1973 Italian Design has shown the world a passionate and distinct reference point when it comes to anything from architecture to fashionable clothing. When it comes to automobiles it is shown in the form of Ferrari and Lamborghini. While those are truly beautiful designs they are typically priced out of the realm for most collectors. Here is a Giogetto Giugiaro design done for the Bertone coach builder that is as Italian as the high dollar cars but can be driven and enjoyed without breaking the bank. This RED Alfa Coupe is a pleasure to look at and even more fun to drive. This example went through a “glass out” repaint and is beautifully maintained. The interior is terrific with nice upholstery, aluminum pedals and MOMO steering wheel. The chrome fire extinguisher is a nice touch to this 70’s vintage sport coupe. A look at the engine compartment will show a picture worthy, alloy engine upgraded with a modern ignition system. Under the car you will see an upgraded suspension with new yellow colored springs and bushings. The brakes, wheels and tires are all new. Odometer shows 34,948 but not documented. This is an opportunity for one lucky collector. Only 37,459 of these were produced between1971-76. They have been hard to find in today’s market and a unique example of fine design. Now that Alfa Romeo has reentered the US Market, interest in heritage examples like this 2000 GTV will increase.
