Up for auction today is a pretty nice 91 BMW 325i. I just picked this car up from a friend that very recently moved to Japan to teach english. I am a dealer but I'm be selling this car "off the books" with a clean and clear, open title. It's the original Alpine white with tan leather interior. The mileage reads 115k but is not currently working. I did however order the gears to fix the odometer. I should have them by the end of the week. So the true mileage is unknown. Judging from the history of the car and the Carfax I'm guessing in the neighborhood of 125-130k. In the next couple paragraphs I'm going to do my best to describe the overall condition of this car. PLEASE feel free to ask questions. You can even call or text me if needed at the phone number below. Exterior- The car is very strait and shinny with no visible rust. The left quarter panel has been painted and you can see the clear coat peeling back from improper prep work. This is the only panel with that issue. (see photo) All the VIN stickers are in tact and all the panels on the car appear to be original. The convertible top is manual and is in great shape. It looks to have been replaced in the last year or two. The wheels are in good shape and strait and true. All the tires have at least 60% tread and match. Full size spare with all tools and included. All the lights work and are nice and clear. Interior- I'll start with the positives :) The dash is flawless. No cracks or issues. The radio is an aftermarket CD player with Bluetooth capabilities. Everything seems to work inside the car. The seats are pretty worn. The drivers seat looks better than the rest. I'm guessing it was recovered at some point. The carpet is getting a little thin in some areas. The steering wheel is a 7 out of 10. Its a little scratched up towards the top. I am throwing in a set of tan seat covers still in the box. For your information I've seen new leather for these cars for right around $1000. New leather seats would really make this car. Mechanical- You have to take the good with the bad.. The car starts right up every time and drives smooth and shifts great. I do hear a little tapping from the top end and I think it could use a valve adjustment. The A/C is ice cold and the heat works great. The power steering works however it is leaking fluid. It looks like it might be coming from one of the return lines. The brakes seem to work fine but the Abs and brake lining light are on in the cluster. I would personally get in this car and drive it a long distance without any concern. I guess that's it. Overall you're getting into a soon to be classic BMW for well under $5000 that will only go up in value as you work on it. It's not perfect and it needs a little TLC but is a really strait and solid running car. I will help arrange shipping at the buyers expense. Please call or email me for a quote.
